People in India Demand Payments for the release of Somali Pirates

The director general of anti pirate commission of Puntland, Somalia has said that parents were fields calls from people in India who were demanding money for the release of Somali pirates imprisoned in India.
“We asked the parents not to pay a single penny, because it’s illegal and may be a scam” said Mr. Abdirizak Mohamed Dirir.
There are some 120 Somali pirates in Indian prisons who were arrested by the Indian navy. And Puntland says they are busy to transfer them to prisons in Somalia so that parents can have access to visit their loved ones.
