Petroleum permanent secretary Jamal Qasim Mursal has been suspended over alleged authorized disclosure of confidential information.
In a memo Monday Petroleum Minister Abdirashid Ahmed added the PS had acted beyond his authority and also sabotaged employees of the ministry from performing their duties.
Mursal is also accused of failing to cooperate with the minister in his work in addition to undisclosed complaints from staff at the ministry.
Mursal’s suspension comes close to two months after foreign affairs minister Mukhtar Daud was suspended over allegations of graft.
