PHOTOS: PM Barre Launches New De Martino Hospital Complex

GOOBJOOG NEWS|MOGADISHU: Prime Minister Hamze Barre today opened the newly-built De Martino Hospital in Mogadishu.

The Prime Minister, alongside representatives from the Ministry of Health and Qatari Embassy officials, cut the ribbon for the newly built hospital complex.

The ultramodern facility, equipped with state-of-the-art equipment, was built with the support of the Qatari government.

Founded in 1922 and named after then colonial governor De Martino, the hospital is the oldest in the country and played a critical intensive care role for patients during the COVID-19 pandemic.
