PHOTOS: Somali Army Chief Inspects Troops Completing Training in Baidoa

GOOBJOOG NEWS|BAIDOA: The Commander of the Somali National Army’s Land Forces, Brigadier General Sahal Abdullahi Omar, on Wednesday inspected SNA troops completing military training in Baidoa, the administrative capital of South West State.

During the visit, Brig Gen Omar toured the training facility and received briefings from instructors and officers overseeing the programme.

The commander was briefed on the progress of the training, including the different areas covered and the military skills and techniques taught to the soldiers.

The inspection comes as the Somali National Army continues efforts to strengthen the capacity and readiness of its forces as part of preparations for their national security responsibilities.

Somalia has been working to expand and professionalise its security forces as they take on greater responsibility for the country’s security and military operations.
