PM Barre Appoints New Director General for Constitutional Affairs

GOOBJOOG NEWS | MOGADISHU: Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barre has appointed Salah Xiirey Kheyre as Director General of Constitutional Affairs at the Ministry of Justice and Constitutional Affairs.

In a statement announcing the appointment, the prime minister urged Kheyre to carry out his duties with integrity, transparency and a strong sense of responsibility, stressing the importance of effective leadership in advancing Somalia’s constitutional review process.

The appointment comes as Somalia continues efforts to finalise its provisional constitution, a key step in strengthening governance, and the rule of law and state institutions after decades of conflict.
