PM Barre Appoints New Directors for Public Works and ICT

GOOBJOOG NEWS|MOGADISHU:  Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barre has named new directors general to head two major government ministries, continuing his administration’s effort to revamp leadership across public institutions.

Farah Abdinoor Ahmed has been appointed as the Director General of the Ministry of Public Works, Reconstruction and Housing, while Mahdi Sheikh Abdullahi Omar will take over as Director General of the Ministry of Communications and Technology.

The new appointees are expected to guide the ministries in advancing infrastructure development and digital transformation — both seen as crucial to Somalia’s economic recovery and modernization agenda.
