GOOBJOOG NEWS|MOGADISHU: Prime Minister Hamse Abdi Barre has ordered urgent improvements at Aden Adde International Airport, warning officials that they have two weeks to deliver visible changes or face “tough measures.”

“The Somali people have the right to efficient and modern services when they travel,” Hamse told officials from the Ministry of Transport and Civil Aviation and the airport management. “I expect you to make visible changes within two weeks. Otherwise, I will take tough measures.”

He said the government gives special priority to improving services at Aden Adde, describing the facility as the country’s main entry point.

He further stated that he would return to the airport to verify the progress, stressing that the government attaches special priority to improving airport services as Aden Adde remains the country’s main entry point.

The Prime Minister’s visit comes amid growing frustration from travelers who have long complained about delays, inefficiencies, and other difficulties when departing from or arriving at the airport.
