GOOBJOOG NEWS | MOGADISHU: Federal government of Somalia’s Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barre has opened an accountability review of his cabinet, pressing ministries to show progress on economic reforms and social development under the government’s “DanQaran” agenda.

The review began with ministries under the Economic Development pillar, where officials outlined gains in domestic revenue, trade facilitation, agriculture, fisheries and infrastructure. They also highlighted efforts to attract foreign investment and create jobs for youth and vulnerable groups.

Barre questioned ministers on whether their plans align with the government’s National Transformation Plan, stressing the need for transparency and stronger strategies to deliver on commitments.

Since taking office three years ago, the DanQaran administration says it has delivered advances in security, public services and economic growth, while seeking to rebuild state institutions and foster national unity.
