GOOBJOOG NEWS | MOGADISHU: Federal Republic of Somalia Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barre has praised the Somali Business community for the various investments in the country.

Speaking while inaugurating the LC Waikiki market in Mogadishu, a project which was implemented by Somali entrepreneurs, PM Barre said such projects have been enabled by the increased security measures put in place by the Federal Government of Somalia, which he said has boosted investor confidence.

The Prime Minister, who took time to shop at the market challenged the Somali Businessmen to invest in more such projects saying it will serve as indicators to the international businesses that Somalia is a suitable investment destination.

With increased security surveillance in Mogadishu, the capital has witnessed an increase in modern markets which has reduced the number of Somali people shopping outside the country and hence developing the country’s economy.
