PM Barre Rallies Civil Servants, Calls for Aid to Vulnerable
GOOBJOOG NEWS | MOGADISHU: Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barre has called for stronger public service delivery and greater support for drought-affected communities as he hosted an Iftar gathering for staff at the Office of the Prime Minister.
Addressing officials during the Ramadan event, Barre praised civil servants for what he described as their continued dedication to implementing government priorities and maintaining operations during the fasting month.
He said the Office of the Prime Minister remains central to coordinating policy execution and advancing reforms under the federal government, crediting staff with helping drive improvements in public service delivery.
Barre also used the occasion to urge state institutions and citizens to step up assistance to vulnerable families hit by recurring drought, saying Ramadan should serve as a time for unity, compassion and practical support for those in need.
