PM Hamza meets with EU Ambassador to Somalia Tiina Intelmann 

GOOBJOOG NEWS|MOGADISHU: Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barre on Monday received in his office the European Ambassador to Somalia Her Excellecy Tiina Intelmann.

A statement by the Office of the Somali Prime Minister said the meeting discussed strengthening EU-funded development projects in Somalia based on the Government’s priorities.

The European Ambassador to Somalia in a Twitter post said she was looking forward to close cooperation with the incoming goverment.

The meeting comes a day after the EU announced that it will disburse €13.5 million to Somalia to help sustain Somalia’s political momentum to engage in reforms as well as a €125 million package for 2022 in order to support state-building, economic reforms and resilience and climate change actions.
