PM Hamza meets with Finland’s Special Envoy on Peace Mediation in the Horn of Africa

GOOBjOOG NEWS|MOGADISHU: The Prime Minister of Somalia, Hamza Abdi Barre, received in his office Suldaan Said Ahmed, a member of the Parliament of Finland, who is the new Finland Special Representative on Peace Mediation in the Horn of Africa.

The Prime Minister discussed with the parliament the role of the Finnish government in supporting the Somali government’s program for reconciliation and peace.

Suldaan Said Ahmed, the first Somali to be elected to the Finnish Parliament, was recently nominated to the new position in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Finland, where he would be responsible for promoting peace and facilitating mediation in the Horn of Africa.
