PM Roble terms yesterday’s attacks as ‘organized and interconnected’
GOOBJOOG NEWS/MOGADISHU: The Somali Prime Minister Mohamed Hussein Roble has condemned yesterday’s terrorist attacks in Mogadishu and Beledweyne with the strongest terms possible saying the attacks aimed at disrupting the elections and intimidating the Somali people and international partners.
Prime Minister Roble called for an immediate end to hostilities orchestrated by Al-Shabaab, terming the two attacks as highly organized, according to the locations of the targets, the individuals targeted and the timing.
While mourning MP Amino Mohamed Abdi who died in the cowardly terrorist attack, Roble hailed her as an astitute defender of people’s rights and a tough advocator for justice. The Premier also extended his deepest condolences to the family and people of Somalia on the passing on of MP Amino Mohamed Abdi.
“Amino, who is known for her role in the struggle for justice for the late Ikraan Tahalil, and a few days ago an attempt was made to loot her seat, was assassinated tonight in an attempt to disrupt justice and discourage anyone who advocates for justice,” said Prime Minister Roble.
The Prime Minister of the Federal Republic of Somalia reassured the Somali people that such cowardly acts will never stop them from holding elections in the country as soon as possible, urging the Somali people to be more vigilant and assist in its implementation.
Finally, Prime Minister Mohamed Hussein Roble further reassured the Somali people that his government was committed to concluding the country’s elections as soon as possible, and to hold accountable and bring to justice all violators of the law, thanking them for their support for justice and governance.
