Some of federal parliamentarians who visited Keysaneey hospital have strongly opposed the proposal of ministry to turn the hospital into prison.
This tour of these lawmakers comes after the ministry for justice proposed Keysaneey hospital to turn into detention centre.
Ahmed Aabi, vice chairman of Social Services Development Committee of the parliament has criticized the proposal saying “The hospital serves the public and there is no need for closing it down”
The hospital has been functioning since the government of late Mohamed Siyad Barre was toppled by rebellions.
