Police avert possible attack after seizing vehicle loaded with explosives in Mogadishu

GOOBJOOG NEWS|MOGADISHU: Police in Mogadishu foiled an attempted attack this morning after they seized a vehicle loaded with explosives in the Daljirka Dahsoon area, in Somalia’s capital.

Police spokesperson Col. Sadiq Dudishe said the IEDs, which were in a small car owned by a civilian, have since been safely detonated, averting a possible wide-scale tragic accident that would have caused devastation to the lives of innocent people.

A tragedy was also averted in Afgoye over the past week after police officers impounded an autorickshaw loaded with explosives.
