Police commander escape Landmine explosion in Mogadishu

A roadside explosion targeted police commander; Ali Barre Hirsi escaped and injured two of his bodyguards in Waberi district of Banadir region.

Following his survival, another attack that kills a policeman and injured three others targeted after a roadside explosion hit the same vehicle own by the commander in the vicinity of Banadir junction early on Wednesday.

Despite security forces arrived at the scene and launched investigations about the incident, no group has yet claimed the responsibility of the explosion in Mogadishu’s Waberi district but meanwhile, government attributes Al-Shabab attacks.
