Police in Mogadishu Arrest Military Man Behind Shooting Incident

GOOBJOOG NEWS|MOGADISDHU: Somali Police have arrested a soldier accused of carrying out an armed robbery and injuring a civilian in Garasbaaley district, south of Mogadishu.
According to officers at the Garasbaaley police station, the suspect, identified as Private Ibrahim Hassan Nur Abdi, allegedly opened fire during the incident, injuring the victim before attempting to flee. He was later apprehended and is now in police custody. Authorities confirmed that he will be transferred to the relevant court for prosecution.
Police officials stressed their commitment to protecting civilians and safeguarding public security. They urged residents to cooperate with law enforcement in preventing similar crimes, noting that community vigilance is crucial to curbing violence.
