Police in Mogadishu arrest two rape suspects

GOOBJOOG NEWS|MOGADISHU: Two men accused of raping a woman in Mogadishu have been arrested, police said on Thursday.

Banaadir police command said the two men identified as Ahmed Maalin Abdi, 22 and Ali Ahmed Noor were arrested in Huriwaa district in Mogadishu. Police said the arrest followed a tip-off from members of the public.

It was not clear when the incident took place but police said the suspects will be brought before a court of law to answer the charges.

The command also urged the public to report any cases of insecurity by dialling the toll-free number 991.
