Police Issue 2 Months Exit Ultimatum for Occupants of Land in Mogadishu

GOOBJOOG NEWS|MOGADISHU: The Somali Police Force has ordered people occupying its land on the outskirts of Mogadishu to vacate within two months, failure to which action will be taken against them.

The SPF said in a statement the occupants of the land located between the former US embassy and Banaadir Hospital must vacate the land to allow the development of public facilities.

“It is being notified to all the people who live in that area to move out within period of two months so that the facilities can be used for public interest services for the Somali community,” the statement read in part.

It noted that those who do not abide by the directive will be dealt with according to the law.
