Politician Abdishakur will not personally attend Banadir Regional Appeal Court

Former presidential contender and one time a minister  Abdirahman Abdishakur is expected not to appear today in  person at Banadir Regional Appeal Court following a subpoena from the court.

The accused is assumed to be represented by his lawyer duirng the court proceedings.

The court released the official summon document on December 25th towards Abdishakur to appear in court on Wednesday 27th December at 10 am local following an appeal request field by the federal Attorney General Ahmed Ali Dahir.

Banadir Regional Court earlier released Abdishakur on 21st December on grounds of insufficient evidence presented against him by the office of the Attorney General and declared that no appeal can be instituted against his case.

Attorney General Dahir announced his intention to take an appeal the following day.

Abdishakur was violently arrested 10 days ago while in his house in Mogadishu by NISA forces.
