Presidency “We Have No Plans to Give Saudi Military Spaces to Launch Attacks on Yemen”
The presidential spokesman Daud Aweys has told Goobjoog that there is yet a plan to give the Arab coalition led by Kingdom of Saudi Arabia spaces to launch airstrikes on Yemen.
This is despite media reports that the Somali president has been considering the issue after attending Arab summit in Egypt, in which top of the agenda was Yemen crises.
However the spokesman declared that Somalia fully supports the decisions of Arab league and they support the legitimate president of Yemen is Abdulmansour Hadi.
On the other hand Mr. Daud spoke about a meeting between Somalia president Hassan Sheikh Mohamoud and UN Secretary General Mr. Ban Ki Moon where the president has requested the UN to evacuate the Somali refugees in Yemen. The spokesman said that Ban has accepted the request and there are plans on foot to evacuate refugees by sea.
