President Farmaajo inaugurates Garowe airport
Somali federal president Mohamed Abdullahi Farmaajo today inaugurated the newly built airport in Garowe, the capital of Puntland state.
The new airport known as General Mohamed Abshir Muse was named after a prominent Somali General and the first Commander of the Somali Police Force who hailed from the state.
Present in the event were members of the federal and state assemblies, state president and foreign dignitaries from neighbouring countries including Djibouti and Ethiopia.
President Farmaajo entered his second day visit in the region. Yesterday he addressed the state assembly after holding a meeting with the state president Dr. Abdiweli Ali Gaas.
