President Farmajo addressed the deal signed with the Ethiopian prime minister
The President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, HE Mohamed Abdullahi Mohamed Farmajo, gave an interview to the media on the issue of the port deal agreement with the Ethiopian prime minister and the current situation of the country.
Farmajo spoke on the issue of the port deal agreement signed last week with the Prime Minister of Ethiopia Abi Ahmed who visited Mogadishu June 16.
The president said “that the prime minister of Ethiopia has faced a decent level of viewing that Somalia and Ethiopia can do more changes.”
The Port investments can boom the two countries development and could change the situation in the country, but currently the two countries are not financially viable, but waiting other countries in the world and companies to invest in them.
Anyone investing in the port of the country would be welcomed, as long as they are far from the current four-year agreement, and also it is good for our country to be more portable and beneficial for shipping in the area.
New Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed and Somali President Mohamed Abdullahi “Farmajo” Mohamed agreed last Saturday to “strengthen their brotherly bilateral relations” and to collaborate with the African Union in seeking solutions to problems on the continent.
