President Hassan Sheikh visits Somali naval trainees in Eritrea

GOOBJOOG NEWS – ASMARA: Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, the president of the Federal Republic of Somalia, and Isaias Afwerki, the president of Eritrea, visited members of the Somali National Army who have been receiving naval training in Massawa, Eritrea, on Monday.

In his message to the trainees, President Mohamud thanked them for their perseverance during training and dedication to defending their country. He also expressed high confidence in the soldiers who will soon be enroute to the country to help strengthen the Somali Armed Forces and maintain security in the nation.

During his second day visit to Somali soldiers receiving training in Eritrea, President Hassan Sheikh said the troops are set to play a crucial role in restoring the Somali army and advancing the country’s liberation from extremist organizations.
