President leaves for New York to attend the 70th United Nations General Assembly

The President, Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, has flown to New York for three days to attend the 70th United Nations General Assembly.
The President will attend the opening of the General Debate and the High Level Side Event on Somalia on Monday 28 September, the ISIL Counter Terrorism Summit hosted by US President Barack Obama on Tuesday 29 September, and numerous other meetings with Heads of State and foreign officials, including UK Prime Minister David Cameron.
President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud is accompanied by Federal Government officials.
