President Mohamud arrives in Ethiopia for two-day official visit

GOOBJOOG NEWS|ADDIS ABABA: The President of the Federal Government of Somalia, Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, and a delegation led by him have arrived in Addis Ababa for a two-day official trip to the country.

President Mohamud was received at the Addis Ababa Bole International Airport by the Prime Minister of Ethiopia, Abiy Ahmed, and other senior government officials 

It is expected that during his stay in Ethiopia, President Hassan Sheikh Mahmoud will have discussions with the Ethiopian leader and other senior government officials about bilateral and regional issues of mutual interest.

Following Hassan Sheikh’s election victory in May, Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed was among the first world leaders to congratulate him, promising to work with him in enhancing Somalia and Ethiopia’s bilateral and diplomatic relations.
