President Mohamud Backs Qatar, Calls for United Action on Palestine at Doha Summit

GOOBJOOG NEWS | DOHA: President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud on Monday voiced strong support for Qatar and renewed calls for Arab and Islamic unity in confronting Israeli attacks, during an extraordinary summit in Doha.

President Mohamud said the assault on Qatar was “an attack on all Arab nations,” underscoring the need for collective action to defend regional stability. He also reaffirmed Somalia’s historic position in backing the Palestinian cause.

“The establishment of an independent Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital remains urgent and indispensable,” he told leaders, urging implementation of U.N. resolutions and adherence to international law to end Israel’s aggression.
