President Mohamud calls for action over Gaza crisis

GOOBJOOG NEWS | RIYADH: Federal Republic of Somalia president Hassan Sheikh Mohamud has challenged the international community to take action to end the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Gaza.

Addressing the Saudi-Africa Cooperation Forum in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, the president expressed Somalia’s solidarity with those affected by the conflict, showcasing Somalia’s increasing role in international humanitarian efforts and its dedication to supporting people in crisis.

He further advocated for a two-state solution where Israel and Palestine can coexist peacefully side by side a move that reflects Somalia’s dedication to fostering global peace and stability.

President Mohamud also underscored the deep historical bonds and multifaceted cooperation between Somalia and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA).

He highlighted the vital contributions made by KSA to Somalia, particularly in its ongoing war against the terror group Al-Shabab.

This acknowledgment showcases the strategic partnership between the two nations, especially in combating terrorism and fostering regional security.
