President Mohamud told the visiting cleric that Somali ulama remain central to shaping public awareness and stabilising the country, noting their influence in guiding communities and reinforcing shared values.

He praised religious leaders for what he called their “indispensable contribution” to the fight against extremist narratives, as well as their efforts in strengthening security and social cohesion across the country.
