President Mohamud holds bilateral talks with two Arab leaders in Algiers

GOOBJOOG NEWS|ALGIERS: The President of Somalia, H.E. Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, held meetings with two of his counterparts on the margins of the Arab League Summit in Algiers, Algeria, on Wednesday.

A statement by the Villa Somalia said Mohamud held a productive meeting with Egyptian President Abdelfattah El-Sisi, where the two leaders discussed the Somali governments’ priorities in fighting international terrorism and Egypt’s indispensable role in advancing regional peace and prosperity.

“Today I had a fruitful meeting with my Egyptian counterpart, H.E. @AlsisiOfficial, on the margins of the @arableague_gs. “We discussed further strengthening our bilateral ties in all areas of mutual benefit, as well as the ongoing war against international terrorism in Somalia,” a Twitter post by President Mohamud read.

Earlier, President Mohamud had held talks with his Algerian counterpart, President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, where the two discussed various issues, including strengthening bilateral relations and cooperation between the two countries.
