President Mohamud in Galmudug to Oversee War on Al-shabaab

GOOBJOOG NEWS | GALMUDUG: Federal Republic of Somalia president Hassan Sheikh Mohamud is in Dhusamareb, Galmudug state where he will oversee the completion of the first phase of the war on Alshabaab.

President Mohamud will also address the humanitarian needs for the residents in the area together with Galmudug president Ahmed Abdi Kariye and other state officials as he seeks to restore peace and stability in the region.  

The president has declared a comprehensive war against the militant group, which he said involved psychological, economic and military aspects.

He chose Dhusamareb as his headquarters for leading the war, and since then, the national army, assisted by local forces, has liberated several towns and villages from the terror group.
