President Mohamud in Middle Shabelle to Oversee War on Al-Shabaab

GOOBJOOG NEWS | MOGADISHU: Federal Government of Somalia president Hassan Sheikh Mohamud Tuesday arrived in Waragadhi area of the Middle Shabelle region to oversee the military operations against Al-Shabab in the Hirshabelle and Galmudug states.

The president, alongside a high-level government delegation met with top military officials and military commanders in the area to discuss the progress of the operation aimed at liberating the region.

The visit by the president underscores the government’s commitment to continue the operation which has so far led to the liberation of several areas in the region.
