President Mohamud Issues Decree Recognizing 3 New Districts in Banadir Region

GOOBJOOG NEWS | MOGADISHU: Federal Republic of Somalia president Hassan Sheikh Mohamud has issued a decree, officially recognizing Gubadley, Darussalam and Garasbaaley as full districts of the Banadir region.

According to an official communication from Banadir regional administration spokesman Salah Hassan Omar, the president’s decision came after the districts fulfilled the necessary requirements for the confirmation.

The president’s announcement was made after a high level meeting which was held at the Banadir municipality headquarters attended by Ministers, MPs and other government officials to welcome the new districts.
