President Mohamud Opens New Parliament Building And Public Facilities In Dhusamareb

GOOBJOOG NEWS | DHUSAMAREB: President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud Wednesday inaugurated a new parliament building and several public service facilities in the central city of Dhusamareb, underscoring efforts to strengthen state institutions in Galmudug State.

The president, joined by Galmudug leader Ahmed Abdi Kariye, opened the regional House of Representatives, where he addressed lawmakers during the 12th session of parliament.

“Galmudug is now at a stage where it can serve as an example to other states,” Mohamud said, praising the projects as key to strengthening local administration.

He also launched a new municipal government center aimed at improving public services and a Road Construction Quality Laboratory, which will test building materials and monitor infrastructure standards.

The projects, backed by both federal and state authorities, mark part of broader efforts by Mogadishu to promote regional development and reinforce governance across Somalia.
