President Mohamud Opens Talks With Future Council at Villa Somalia

GOOBJOOG NEWS | MOGADISHU: Federal government of Somalia President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud has opened high-level talks with senior members of the Future Council (Golaha Mustaqbalka) at the presidential palace in Mogadishu.

The meeting began shortly after council members arrived at Villa Somalia, marking the latest round of consultations between the presidency and key political stakeholders.

According to officials, discussions are centred on the country’s political landscape, governance reforms and ways to strengthen cooperation among national leaders.

The talks form part of the president’s broader outreach aimed at building consensus on priority issues, including electoral processes and long-term institutional development, as Somalia navigates a critical political period.
