President Mohamud praises SNA for achievements in fighting Al-shabaab

GOOBJOOG NEWS | Federal Republic of Somali president Hassan Sheikh Mohamud has praised the Somali National Army for its achievements in the ongoing war against the Al-shabaab militants.

The president spoke while visiting the soldiers at the Ali bin Abidalib Brigade in Mahas district where he urged them not to relent on the momentum they have picked on the war until the entire country has been liberated from the militants.

He added that the Federal government has stepped up its preparations towards the war noting that at the beginning of the military campaign, preparations were not as advanced as they are now due to the draught that was ravaging the nation.

The president noted that currently, the national army is more equipped and that more soldiers have been recruited to bolster the various ranks of the country’s military.
