President Mohamud Sends Goodwill Message to Djibouti on Independence Day
GOOBJOOG NEWS | MOGADISHU: Federal government of Somalia president Hassan Sheikh Mohamud Thursday sent his goodwill message to the people of Djibouti as they celebrated their 27th Independence day.
In his message, the president acknowledged the deep bond between the two nations, highlighting their shared history, culture, and ancestry.
“I congratulate our brothers in the Republic of Djibouti on the 47th anniversary of independence. Somalia and Djibouti share a long history, culture and blood. We are proud of the progress and unity achieved by our brothers in Djibouti, and we wish them a bright future and lasting peace,” stated President Mohamud.
He also emphasized the importance of continued collaboration between the two countries in crucial areas like security, economic development, and social affairs and expressed gratitude to the Djiboutian government and people for their unwavering support in rebuilding Somalia.
