President Mohamud urges new cabinet to serve the Somali people with utmost honesty and effectiveness

GOOBJOOG NEWS|MOGADISHU: President Sheikh Mohamud, at the company of Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barre, met with the newly nominated members of the Federal Government of Somalia and congratulated them on their appointments.

The President also commended Prime Minister Hamza for the extensive consultations he has carried out that has resulted in a a government that can fulfill the vision and ambition of the Somali people as well as the rest of the world.

“The Somali people look up to you to serve them with utmost honesty and to help them solve their problems, therefore it’s crucial that you work cooperatively, responsibly, and with an awareness of your duties.

The Cabinet was urged by President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud to concentrate on improving Somalia’s international relations as well as ensuring security, addressing the drought, fostering reconciliation, concluding the review of the constitution, and enhancing governance and infrastructure for the Somali people.

The President of the Republic prayed to God to align what is in the best interests of the Somali people and the Somali government, asking the Members of the People’s Assembly of the Federal Parliament of Somalia to approve the Government so that they can quickly carry out their mandated national duties.
