Presidential Candidates including Farmaajo set to present speeches today

GOOBJOOG NEWS|MOGADISHU: Members of both Chambers of the Federal Parliament of Somalia will on the second day listen to the speeches of the candidates for the presidency of the Somali Republic.

19 candidates will today present 15-minute speeches before the members, outlining what they will deliver to the Somali people if elected. 20 of the 39 candidates each had a chance yesterday to convince the members to elect them to the highest office in the land.

Among candidates who will address lawmakers include the incumbent, Mohamed Hussein Farmaajo, former Somali presidents and other notable politicians, ahead of the presidential vote slated for May 15.
