Prime Minister Barre reiterates government’s commitment to fighting corruption
GOOBJOOG NEWS | MOGADISHU: Federal Government of Somalia Prime Minister Hamze Abdi Barre has said that the government is committed to fighting corruption and completing the constitutional review process by the end of the year.
The Prime Minister spoke during an official visit to the Ministry of Justice and Constitutional Affairs offices in Mogadishu where he inspected the offices and assessed the state of service delivery to the Somali people.
Justice and Constitutional Affairs Minister Hassan Macalin Mohamud briefed the Prime Minister on the progress on the completion of the Provisional Constitution and the development of the country’s justice system and the formulation of various other laws which will be tabled to the cabinet for review.
Prime Minister Barre also inspected the Public Health Emergency Operations Centre which was recently commissioned where he noted the importance of the facility saying it will serve a crucial role in responding to medical emergencies in the country.
