Prime Minister Barre calls on Somali businessmen to invest in the country
GOOBJOOG NEWS | MOGADISHU: Federal Government of Somalia Prime Minister Hamze Abdi Barre has challenged the Somali business community to invest more in the country.
Speaking while officially opening the modern Jubba Hypermarket – which was built by a team of Somali businessmen in Mogadishu, the prime minister challenged the business community to have confidence in investing in the country.
Mr. Barre observed that such local investments would enable the country to compete with the rest of the world and emerge strongly from the setbacks caused by the conflict that has faced Somalia for decades.
He further noted that the government is focusing on the restoration of critical infrastructure that will enable businesses to operate smoothly and setting favorable laws to make local investment easy.
