Prime Minister Hamza Barre Announces Cabinet Reshuffle

GOOBJOOG NEWS | MOGADISHU:  Federal Government of Somalia n Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barre, has announced a significant reshuffle within the Council of Ministers, bringing new leadership into key positions.

As part of the changes, Jibril Abdirashid Haji Abdi has been appointed as the Second Deputy Prime Minister. Abdisalan Abdi Ali Dhaay will now serve as the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, while Ahmed Moallim Fiqi takes over as the new Minister of Defence.

The reshuffle comes at a critical time as Somalia continues its efforts to strengthen national security, advance diplomatic relations, and push forward its development agenda.

 Prime Minister Hamza stated that the appointments are intended to inject new energy into the government and to ensure more effective delivery of services to the Somali people.

The new leaders are expected to play vital roles in driving key reforms, building stronger institutions, and guiding Somalia through ongoing challenges at home and abroad.
