Prominent peacekeeper killed in Afgoye district

GOOBJOOG NEWS|AFGOYE: Armed men have today shot and killed a prominent peacekeeper in the Afgoye district of the Lower Shabelle region.

Adan Abshir Maddey was stopped by the unknown assailants as he was travelling on a motorcycle, and shot to death. 

Witnesses say the late Maddey was killed a few moments after he left his home on a motorcycle that he had just boarded. 

No one has been arrested so far, but police have begun investigations into the killing of the late peacekeeper, who joins the list of other peacekeepers previously killed by Al-Shabaab in Afgoye.
