Public transport in Afgoye-Marerey road returns to normal

The road linking Afgoye and Marerey towns in Lower Shabelle region re-opened after bloody clashes between government forces that occurred on Friday.

Reports from the area says public transport and trucks transporting vegetables have started using the roads

Bale Mayow, the administrator of Marerey locality said that the movement of people and public transport people returned to Normal adding that business activities in the region re-opened.

Mr. Bale stated that the sides that fought in the region vacated the area. At least 10 people from the warring sides died and scores wounded during the clash.
