Public transporters barricade roads, lament blockades in Mogadishu

Public transport vehicle owners and drivers have sealed off sections of KM5 over what they termed as restrictions and roadblocks by security forces.

One of the drivers told Goobjoog News they decided to block the roads out of desperation lamenting harassments and blockades by security forces.

“Most of the roads are blocked. We cannot do business yet we pay taxes,” the driver said. He noted they encountered roadblocks from Afgooye to the city and cannot access several other routes. “If they block us we will also block them today,” the driver who did not want to be named said.
