Puntland Forces Destroy ISIS Bases, Capture Foreign Fighters and Drones

GOOBJOOG NEWS|PUNTLAND: Puntland Security forces have destroyed several outpost and hideouts used by the ISIS militant group.

According to a statement from the Puntland administration, the security forces destroyed ISIS outposts in the Al-Miskad mountain ranges in Bari region in a major offensive.

The statement noted that the forces also seized 9 drones and burnt down bases used by the militant group in ongoing operations. Five foreign fighters were also seized

“The Counter-Terrorism Operation forces burned down the ISIS terrorist command posts in the Al-Miskaad mountains,” the Puntland Defense Forces Command said in a brief report.

Puntland forces have been conducting operations in Bari region in recent weeks.
