Puntland and Galmudug forces engage fresh fighting on this Monday evening, hours after ceasefire agreement brokered by local elders came into effect.
The heavy fighting started at 5:00PM local time and sides used heavy artillery. The intensity of the fighting is reduced but sporadic gunfire can be heard from time to time. Goobjoog correspondent in Galkio says.
Six people killed and over twelve others injured in clashes between the two state forces just three days ago.
Galkayo is divided into two zones, where the northern portion forms part of Puntland state, while its southern part is governed by the Galmudug administration.
