Puntland regional state president calls for economic war against Al-Shabab

Puntland regional state president, Abdulah Said Deni calls for economic war against Al-Shabab. However, the military battle has made a major role in the weakening of Al-Shabab strength, but still needs strick strategic war against Al-Shabab economic development.

Deni also pointed out that the federal government and regional government should come up social development programs that can prevent youth joining Al-Shabab for the financial problem and jobless which leads Al-Shabab militant to increase the number of yearly recruitment in the country.

“It is a challenge for development, stability and co-existence when fighting extremist anti-peace ideology is not a military tactic, but also to launch economic development war against Al-Shabab,” said. Deni.

On the other hand, the President of Puntland commended the Kenyan government for its support to the Somali people when the emergency crisis took place in the country and called on its security forces to work with the Somalia government.

The president of Puntland regional State of Somalia has held a special meeting with the Somali community living in the capital Nairobi for the last few days.
