Pupils, teachers among casualties in deadly Mogadishu bombing

GOOBJOOG NEWS|MOGADISHU: School children and teacher are among the casualties of a deadly bombing attack in Mogadishu this morning, medical sources have said.

The bomb whose shockwaves could be felt in various parts of the city happened outside Mucaasir School in Taleh area of Mogadishu’s Hodan district.

Pictures from the scene show sections of the school and structure nearby destroyed. There was no immediate information on the number of casualties.

The militant group Al-Shabaab claimed responsibility noting it was targeting a convoy carrying ‘white’ military officers who were heading to Halane base camp located within the Aden Adde Airport vicinity.
