GOOBJOOG NEWS | MOGADISHU: The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre has completed the distribution of Zakat al-Fitr assistance to vulnerable communities across Somalia ahead of the Eid al-Fitr holiday.

The aid operation, implemented in partnership with the Al-Mahasin Foundation, reached thousands of internally displaced people and low-income families in the Benadir region and parts of South West State.

Distributions were carried out in displacement camps and underserved areas including Lafole and Afgoye, where humanitarian needs remain high due to prolonged drought and displacement.

In Mogadishu, assistance was also delivered to orphan care centres and patients with special needs at Martini Hospital, targeting some of the most vulnerable groups ahead of the holiday.

Al-Mahasin Foundation said the project was implemented in coordination with local authorities and community representatives to ensure aid reached eligible beneficiaries in a timely manner.

The initiative underscores ongoing humanitarian efforts by KSrelief to support communities affected by economic hardship and climate-related challenges in Somalia.
